I'm happy to be writing this post because I can just imagine myself sitting by the beach during this chilly day! If you follow me on Instagram, you'd know that I got back from Miami last week. I thought I'd share some of my favorite looks, some recommendations, and a little personal detail about my wedding!
First of all, we planned the trip to go look at venues for our upcoming wedding! Connor and I are getting married this fall, and had initially planned to go to the Dominican Republic. Long story short that ended up not working out. Our first major trip together was to Miami, and we absolutely love it there so it just seemed natural for it to be the place we get married! We set up a trip last minute and were able to tour some hotels on South Beach. They're all very unique and a lot of them have that old school Miami art deco style. We are lucky to say that we found the place, and are so excited to have it finalized at a place we love.
We stayed at the SIXTY Nautilus Hotel. It's relatively new compared to some of the other places. We've also stayed at 1 Hotel and The Surfcomber both of which I adore as well. I would recommend staying at any of these locations, and if you don't want to be right in the middle of all the action, The Standard Hotel is fabulous! We stayed at the beach and hotel pool for the most part, just soaking in the sun that we don't currently have here. We toured The Delano, The Betsy, and The Palms hotels. They all were so unique and it made the decision hard!
After we took care of the business, we went to Wynwood to look at street art! That area is amazing and not as expensive as the Miami Beach area. We had some delicious tacos at Coyo Taco (worth the wait!) and went out for a while at the Wood Tavern. We were lured in by a cute little daquri stand they have at the front. The next night we hit up the Broken Shaker at the Freehand. This place is so colorful and has amazing cocktails! We stopped at a very luxe hotel The Faena for a late night snack and drinks after. They have a fantastic elephant sculpture that I wish I would have photographed during the day. We also lucked out and their amazing Cuban band was playing in the lobby that night!
I've linked most of my looks from vacation down below. My favorite suit is this gingham Asos two-piece that I took a chance on. I also purchased one from Aerie's first collection, and I loved it! I'm obsessed with the white knitted Zara top and my Forever 21 set that I bought right before the trip! If you have any questions leave a comment or DM me!
